About Us
Cahors Snow Nice

We would like to share our passion for France with you.

For a holiday destination it is superb and offers mountains, rolling Atlantic breakers, chic Mediterranean beaches, rural, countryside charm, Roman cities, fantastic architecture and stunning chateaux.

We have never tired of holidaying here and since 1995 have experienced nearly all of it; Paris city breaks, 1000’s of miles covered on driving holidays, beach destinations with children, self catering, hotels, vineyard tours and skiing to name but a few. France can offer it all.

We started coming to France because we needed affordable holidays when all our contemporaries were spending many thousands on holidays to the Far East or Caribbean. We have never been disappointed and have some fantastic memories of the many and varied regions we have visited. We decided in 2004 to make France our permanent home, and still enjoy many driving holidays in our aging Mini Cooper here. Although not entirely traffic free there is far less congestion here than in the UK. It never ceases to amaze us that you can breakfast among the olive groves of the Mediterranean coast then head into the gorges and mountains for lunch washed down with some simple, unpretentious local wine and by dinner be enjoying your aperitifs in a chic city such as Grenoble, Orange or Montelimar having cruised through the rich fruit orchards, sunflower fields and vineyards.

On these pages you will find some lovely self-catering properties to enable you to experience the best of what we think France has to offer.

In the current economic climate the real benefit of this type of holiday is that you can often pay for the accommodation and book your crossing in sterling and therefore you are not subject to poor exchange rates or running the risk of your tour operator going bust before you travel or whilst you are away. A self-drive holiday in France, as well as being a fantastic way of seeing the country is also an incredibly relaxing and economical holiday, taken at your own pace and not subject to the stresses of a package tour.

Whatever you choose, we wish you a happy holiday in France!
